Homework is an important part of your child's learning. There are important concepts and skills that need to be practiced in order to be fully learned. Homework is never given as just busy work. Therefore, in sixth grade we have implemented the following homework policy.
Homework Policy
This policy is in effect for all subjects.

All students start with a 100% homework grade

They keep the 100% homework grade as long as all homework is handed in on time.

10 points will be subtracted from the homework grade each time an assignment is not completed or handed in on time.

The homework grade is averaged into the student's final grade for the marking period.

The homework grade is separate for each subject. A loss of points in one subject does not affect the homework grade for another subject.

Each marking period, the students will begin with 100% homework average.
Your child's agenda is an important tool in helping them to be organized and know what they need to take home. Please encourage your child to fill in their planner every afternoon.
