2015 - 2016 will mark my 15th year of teaching at North Tonawanda High School. I earned Bachelor's Degrees in History and Social Studies Education from Buffalo State College and a Master's Degree in Education from Niagara University. I have taught a variety of classes over the years, but I will be teaching Advanced Placement United States History and Global Studies 9 this school year.
I consider myself a "life long learner" and am continually challenging myself to gain more understanding of not only my teaching subject matters but in many areas of interest. I love to travel and have visited a variety of countries, cities, and sites around the world. My all-time favorites include; Rome and Florence (Italy), Athens (Greece), Ephesus (Turkey), Lisbon (Portugal), Cordoba and Madrid (Spain), and Chichen-itza (Mexico).
I come from a family of "history buffs"... in fact two of my three siblings are also Social Studies teachers, and our mother is a Civil War historian herself! |
