Writing a Bio is important because I think it is imperative that you understand a little about your (child's) teacher. Through my experiences at home and in the educational field I have a great interest and positive ideals that I feel benefit the youth in our high school.
Through luck, I am married to a beautiful woman Jen who is a kindergarten teacher. I am blessed and grateful to have four outstanding children Maura, Samuel, Macey and Tessa. Having the four children keeps me grounded and in touch with the current challenges facing parents in today's society. Any teaching decision I make is thought through as what I would want for the best for our students as if they were my own children. I believe there must be support from home to the school just as I will instill family values in your child when they are in my classroom.
Attending High School at Notre Dame High School in Batavia, Buffalo State College and obtaining my Masters Degree at St. John's University in NYC has provided myself the academic experience I bring to the classroom. Working at JP Morgan and Oakfield Alabama Central Schools provided me with some great experiences entering North Tonawanda High School as an Exceptional Education teacher in the Spring of 1994.
One of the true pleasures in education is seeing students enter the high school as boys and girls and exiting as responsible young adults. I have taught in Self-Contained Classrooms, Resource Rooms, Consultant Teacher and currently teach in an Integrated Co-Teach setting. Over my career I have taught most subjects but now put all of my energies into the Math Department.
Part of the education process is helping to develop the complete child. A lot of enjoyment through my career has been Advising the Senior Class, the Scholastic Bowl Team and the Stratego Club. I have also coached Freshman and JV Basketball. In the Fall I have coached Modified, Frosh, JV and Varsity Football.
I am proud and honored to be a Lumberjack and teaching at North Tonawanda High School.
